Welcome to Team Norma!
Mauser and fieldshooting is perhaps not the traditional competition debut for any sports shooter, at the age of 12. But Ola-Kristian stepped right in, after having tried some air rifle shooting. The field shooting, held at 100 m range, motivated him. The Mauser and the shooting worked well, so Ola-Kristian decided to continue.
At 17, he chose to take his shooting to a higher level, and is now competing for top positions around the world. Before he took home the gold medals from Spain last summer, he had already important, individual titles on his resumé – four gold medals from the European Cup, gold and bronze from CISM (the Military World Championships), four gold from the Nordic Championships, one silver and two bronze medals from the 50 m World Cup, gold from the Norwegian Cup (6,5x55), Shooting Prince of the Norwegian Landsskytterstevnet 2012, and 7th place in the last Olympic Games. In addition, there are a lot of team medals – the list goes on.
It will be exciting to see the development of 2015, when Ola-Kristian will compete in the European Cup, the European Championships, Landsskytterstevnet in Norway and CISM in South Korea.
“So, which one of these competitions feels most exciting for you personally then?, we ask. “Well, that would be Landsskytterstevnet, as I have not yet achieved the Shooting King title”, he replies. Shooting King of 2014, is Norma A/S’ own Team Norma Shooter, Ola-Tore Dokken, so we expect that the competitions in August will be thrilling.
