A few advice when stalking grouse in wintertime
THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN STALKING GROUSE IN WINTERTIME
1. Store your ammo correctly
When hunting in extremely cold temperatures you have two options to maintain correct zeroing of your rifle. The first option is to zero your rifle in the actual temperature that you will have while hunting, keep in mind to store your cartridges in the cold a while before zeroing your rifle, an hour or two should be enough.
The second option to zero your rifle in the cold is to keep the cartridges in your pocket until you are going to fire them to keep them warm and load the rifle right before you shoot.
2. Dress for the occasion
Layered clothing is the only thing that works for long hikes or cross country skiing. Be sure to wear warm boots and a camo outfit to blend in with the nature around you.
3. Choose the right ammunition
Norma is the right choice for every weather! We used Norma Full Metal Jacket which is designed to give you both maximum precision and sufficient energy without destroying your game. The round nose of the bullet gives you a good shock effect in the bird.
